Deposit & Refund Policy

1. WHAT IS A DEPOSIT?
A deposit on Inxie is a partial payment made by a client to a tattoo artist to confirm and secure a tattoo appointment. Deposits are processed via Stripe and transferred directly to the artist, minus Inxie's 4% platform fee.
2. NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSITS
All deposits paid through Inxie are non-refundable. This is standard practice in the tattoo industry and protects artists for time spent in consultation, design preparation, and scheduling.
Deposits will not be returned if:
- The client cancels the appointment for any reason
- The client fails to show up to the scheduled appointment
- The client requests to reschedule beyond the artist's rescheduling policy
- The client is dissatisfied with the design concept during consultation
3. REFUNDS IF AN ARTIST CANCELS
If a tattoo artist cancels a confirmed appointment, the client is entitled to a full refund of their deposit. To request a refund:
- Contact Inxie at hello@inxie.app with your booking details
- Inxie will work with Stripe to process the refund to your original payment method
- Refunds typically appear within 5-10 business days
4. ARTIST DISCRETION
Artists may, at their sole discretion, choose to issue partial or full refunds in exceptional circumstances. This is not guaranteed. Inxie will facilitate any refund the artist approves.
5. RESCHEDULING
Rescheduling policies are set by individual artists and communicated during the booking process. Confirm rescheduling terms with your artist directly through Inxie's messaging system before making a deposit.
6. CHARGEBACKS
Filing a chargeback for a non-refundable deposit in violation of this policy may result in suspension or permanent removal of your Inxie account. Inxie will contest bad-faith chargebacks and provide Stripe with documentation of the agreed-upon deposit terms.
7. DISPUTES
If you have a dispute regarding a deposit or payment, contact us first at hello@inxie.app. We will make reasonable efforts to mediate between clients and artists.
8. PLATFORM FEE
Inxie charges a 4% platform fee on each deposit transaction, deducted before transfer to the artist.
